Hi admin community,
As you may know, we wrapped up Team '25 Europe earlier this month, where we unveiled and shared exciting product updates—watch the keynote highlights. For our amazing admins, we showed up big this year! 🚀 We introduced the first-ever Administration booth, where admins connected directly with us to explore the latest tools and innovations that make your admin experience smarter, simpler, and more powerful. We also hosted two admin-focused sessions, where we shared our vision for Administration and best practices to help you confidently scale your system of work.
If you stopped by, thank you! We loved meeting you and can’t wait to see you again at the next Team! This post highlights what we showcased at Team EU and provides resources where you can learn more.

Four key administrative areas to scale your system of work
Atlassian Administration gives you visibility, control, and insights to manage effectively and empower teams in the AI era. Explore the newest capabilities in these key areas:
1. Administration at scale: As your organization grows, managing users, projects, and data becomes more complex. We’re excited to introduce new tools that simplify admin tasks, maintain system health, and boost team productivity.
-
Rovo for Admins: Rovo has already transformed how your teams work, and soon, it’s your turn. Rovo for Admins will help you take on repetitive admin tasks: adding users to groups, troubleshooting IDP issues, fixing user access, cleaning up tokens to protect your data, and more. With Rovo as your AI teammate, you can focus on what really matters. Let us know if you’re interested in participating in the EAP.
-
Units: Are you a large organization that desires to enforce data boundaries and scale governance? Meet Units: secure, connected workspaces that sit between your organization and sites. Each unit comes with its own directory, set of apps, and Teamwork Graph, which ensures that content remains secure and is shared only within that unit. This means collaboration between users and with AI is automatically scoped to the right people. In addition, you can set governance policies at the unit level, which apply consistently across all sites within it. If you are a large organization interested in Units, express your interest in joining the EAP.
2. AI visibility and control: With AI reshaping how we work, admins need the right tools to ensure AI adoption is sustainable, secure, and aligned with business needs. We’re building a centralized usage management hub in Administration to empower you with better visibility and control, starting with the following capabilities:
-
Platform usage dashboard: View and track your organization’s usage for Rovo, Rovo Dev, and other usage-based Atlassian apps such as Bitbucket. As Rovo becomes available to all Atlassian Cloud customers and Rovo Dev enters general availability, we want to ensure you have the tools to monitor usage and better understand how teams use AI. -
AI access control: AI access control is coming soon to help you shape AI rollout at your own pace. With this tool, you can turn AI features on/off for your entire organization or grant access to specific groups. This makes AI adoption safer and more flexible, especially for organizations with strict legal or regulatory requirements.
These new announcements are just some of the many controls available to customers using Rovo today. You can manage how and when your organization uses Rovo, supported by built-in security, industry compliance certifications, and controls for confident AI use. Learn more.
3. Data protection and user management: We’re continuously investing in the tools you need to manage your organization and reduce security risks effectively, including industry-standard controls, policies, and programs.
-
Backup & Restore (Open Beta): Our new Backup & Restore experience delivers enterprise-grade data protection for your Atlassian cloud apps. This new solution helps safeguard against data loss from accidental deletion or corruption, while meeting internal and regulatory compliance requirements. It is available as a paid add-on for Jira family and Confluence apps on Commercial and Government cloud deployments. Learn more.
-
App requests: As your organization grows, admins must manage more users and their app access requests, which can be time-consuming. To speed up review, approval, and denial, we introduced this centralized tool that lets you view and act on users’ app access requests across the organization from a single list. Learn more.
4. Change and release management: As admins, you’re responsible for preparing your organization for new changes to your Atlassian apps. That’s why we’re committed to giving you the control, predictability, and transparency to test and prepare for changes confidently.
-
Defer rollout: Manage change on your terms. Available to Enterprise plan customers on the continuous release track, Defer rollout lets you temporarily delay specific feature releases, giving you the time to prepare, test, and roll out changes across your organization. Learn more.
-
Freeze windows: Are you getting ready for a busy business period? We offer Freeze windows that let you pause new feature rollouts for up to two weeks, ensuring your teams can stay focused during critical business periods. Freeze windows is currently in open beta for Enterprise Cloud customers. Learn more.
