Got a minute? Tell us how the Community Forums are working for you

Hi community!

You might notice a little pop‑up survey while you’re browsing the Atlassian Community. That’s our quarterly Value Analytics Survey, and we’d love your help with it.

So… what is this survey?

It’s a short, anonymous survey that appears as a pop‑up on the forums.
We’re using it to understand:

  • How helpful the Community feels for you

  • Whether you can find what you need

  • Where the forums are smooth vs. frustrating

This one is only about the Community forums experience—things like navigation, search, content, and overall vibes. It’s not for Jira, Confluence, or other product feedback.

What kind of feedback helps most?

All of it! For example:

  • “Search results aren’t showing what I expect”

  • “This forum is my go‑to because answers are fast and clear”

  • “I keep running into very old posts that don’t apply anymore”

We also really want to hear what’s working well so we don’t accidentally “fix” something you love.

How we use your answers

Your responses help us:

  • Spot which features and content are most valuable

  • Decide what to improve or build next

  • Keep the Community useful, relevant, and easy to use

Everything is aggregated and anonymized. We use the data to improve the forums experience—nothing else.

Why you might see the pop‑up more than once

Q: I took the survey already. Why am I getting the pop-up again?
A: The survey uses browser cookies to remember you. If you clear cookies, use a different browser, or switch devices, it may show up again. If you don’t want to answer it another time, you can just close the pop‑up.

Other quick ways to help

Even if you never see the survey, you can still help us improve the Community:

  • Use the “Was this helpful?” Yes/No buttons at the bottom of articles

  • Use “Report to moderators” when you spot old or outdated content

These small actions help us find content that needs love and keep the good stuff front and center.

Thanks so much for taking a minute to share your experience with us. Your feedback is a big part of how we decide what to fix and improve in the Community.

Have thoughts right now? Drop them in the comments—we’d love to hear them.

Want to be in the loop? You can read about our most recent changes in our release notes. Make sure to join the Community Announcements group so you’ll get notified whenever new updates are posted.

✨ Looking forward to seeing the results of the survey, and what insights we can make from them!

"What was the purpose of your visit to the Atlassian Community?"

None of the suggested replies apply for my case and there is no selection "other" that I can be fill out.

I came to check on an old Atlassian article just to find that its abandoned and probably never gets updates that many readers & watchers wait for.

I find the Community Forums highly helpful and easy to navigate. I am usually able to find answers quickly, and the discussions are consistently clear, informative, and engaging.

@Dave Liao Thank you for your comment. It’s inspired me to work on a 2025 summary post, which I plan to publish early next year. It will outline the feedback we’ve received from members, the updates we’ve made as a result, and some high‑level priorities we’re planning for 2026.

@Cedric Weber We’ll be reviewing the survey responses. While some changes are limited by what our platform vendor currently supports, we’ll do our best to improve this experience. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
