It sounds like your Bitbucket account and workspace structure changed, which is why your old repository URLs no longer work. Bitbucket no longer uses the old “username‑based” repository paths (like bitbucket.org/ninjanoel). Instead, every repository now belongs to a workspace, and each workspace has its own unique ID.

Here’s what likely happened:

1. Your old workspace was deleted, renamed, or disconnected

If the workspace associated with bitbucket.org/ninjanoel was removed or renamed, all repositories under that path would immediately become inaccessible. Bitbucket does not automatically redirect old workspace URLs.

2. Bitbucket migrated your account to the new workspace system

A few years ago, Bitbucket forced all users to switch from “personal accounts” to “workspaces.” If you didn’t complete the migration, Bitbucket may have:

  • deactivated the old workspace

  • moved your account into a “no‑workspace” state

  • required you to create a new workspace before accessing anything

This is why you see the message telling you to create a workspace.

3. Your repositories still exist — but under a different workspace

If you log in and don’t see them, it usually means:

  • they belong to a workspace you no longer have access to

  • the workspace was deleted

  • the workspace was owned by a different email

  • or the workspace name changed

4. If the workspace was deleted, Bitbucket support must restore it

Deleting a workspace instantly deletes all repositories unless backups were made. Only Atlassian Support can restore them.

What you should do now

Step 1 — Check if you have multiple Atlassian accounts

Many users accidentally have:

  • one account with Google login

  • one with email/password

  • one with an old username

Log out completely and try logging in with every email you’ve ever used.

Step 2 — Go to this page:

https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/

It will show all workspaces linked to your login.

Step 3 — Contact Bitbucket Support

Send them this information:

  • your old repository URLs

  • your old username (ninjanoel)

  • the email you used

  • approximate dates of last access

They can check whether the workspace still exists in their system.

Summary

Your repositories didn’t disappear randomly — Bitbucket changed how accounts and workspaces work. Your old workspace URL is gone, so the repos are no longer accessible under that path. They may still exist under a different workspace, or they may need to be restored by support.
