Worksspaces and repos after January 2016

What happens in a workspace with multiple repositories? Some repositories aren't being updated, but others are. Will the repositories be deleted?

I assume you are referring to Bitbucket cleanup of free unused workspaces: what ... - Atlassian Community ?

I also got an email reminder about this topic today.

The article says

• If your workspace contains repositories but hasn’t been logged in over 6 months, or content hasn’t been accessed or updated in over 6 months

  • You must login and update your content before January 15, 2026 to keep your workspace.

Those are all ORs in the first sentence. So I would assume that a login will count as an active workspace. However: the second sentence says a login AND content update is required.

But this is not about individual repositories. Atlassian will not delete a repository because it was not used and keep another because it has recent commits. It's about the workspace as a whole.

Hi @Roni Gonzalez 

Why should repositories be deleted in your installation? This could only be done by the bitbucket users in your installation (with sufficient permissions)
