Why does sourcetree expand my keynote file?

When adding a Keynote file, sourcetree expands the contents of the file and tries to add those, rather than just adding the file itself. How come?

Hi Steve,

This isn't SourceTree, but rather a feature of the Keynote file format. A Keynote file is actually a directory (or "package" in OS X parlance) that OS X tools like Finder and Keynote treat as a single file. But if you look at it from git or SourceTree or the terminal, it's just a plain old directory on the file system.
