I assume when a student forks my academic repo, the build minutes they use come from their 500 min/month limit. Is that correct? Surely that is true.
When they run out of minutes do they have to pay the $25/month to upgrade?
Thanks,
Hi Lee,
The academic account will provide them with 500 Pipelines build minutes, as you said. If they need more than that, they can purchase extra minutes at $10/month for 1000 mins.
Hope that helps!

I hope I'm not the only one, but all this does for the solo or super small team developers is create minute anxiety trying to be efficient about not wasting minutes and money rather then focusing on developing, evolving the project and continuing to deploy. Reminds me of cell phone minutes and data, there should be some roll over.
Instead of developing here I am worrying about pipeline minutes and if it is something I can use into the future or should I look for an alternative that is more cost effective.

Hi treetrunk, welcome to the Community.
After the first 50 free minutes run out you won't be stuck without minutes until the next cycle, you can purchase additional minutes so you can continue your project. Extra minutes are available for $10/month for 1000 mins.
Hope that helps!
