What Happens to the Users and Admins

Linking Bitbucket to the Atlassian organization looks promising; however, I have a few questions listed below. Having clarity on these points would help us proceed with the integration.

1. After linking Bitbucket to Atlassian, what happens to existing users and administrators? How will access be managed for granting or revoking permissions?

2. Will linking Bitbucket to Atlassian have any impact on existing repositories?

3. Scenario: If Atlassian administrators have access to all Atlassian products within the organization, but we want Bitbucket administrators to have access only to Bitbucket (and not visibility into other Atlassian products), is this level of access control possible?

4. Can both users and administrators continue to operate normally if Atlassian Guard is enabled for Bitbucket?

To clarify, linking your workspace with an Atlassian organization will not change your existing permissions or have any immediate impact. This step is simply to prepare for a future migration of your Bitbucket workspace to unified user management.

When we’re ready to migrate your workspace, we’ll contact you with the prerequisites and a clear explanation of any changes or impact. For now, there will be no changes to your repositories or Bitbucket workspace permissions.
