After migrating to Bitbucket v8.9.5 we want to change the API based creation of webhooks by moving the credentials from the URL to basic authentication.

According to Create webhook the JSON should contain a credentials element with username and password.

But with both Postman and our own implementation the password is ignored while the username is set in this way.

{
    "name""Post-Push Webhook",
    "events": [
        "pr:merged",
        "repo:refs_changed"
    ],
    "url""https://host/api/transformation",
    "credentials": {
      "username""ws_user",
      "password""qwertz"
    },
    "active"true
}
What's wrong with the password parameter?
Thanks
Mike

Could be that the API works correctly.

The web UI ('Edit webhook') seems to have a bug because even for a working webhook the password is always lost and the connection cannot be tested after the initial creation.
