We are running an old version of Stash (v3.6.1) and are moving the Bitbucket v5.12.0

Sam Criswell April 4, 2019

We are running an old version of Stash (v3.6.1) and are moving the Bitbucket v5.12.0.

Stash is running on a RHEL 6.9 server. We are moving to RHEL 7.5 on a new server.

We are also upgrading Jira and Bamboo from older versions and have to do stepped upgrades on the old RHEL 6.9.

My question is can I have Bitbucket running on the new RHEL 7.5 system while the other Jira and Bamboo are still on RHEL 6.9?

Hi Sam,

There is no dependency of Bitbucket Server to have Jira or Bamboo running on the same operating system (or OS version) as itself.

Cheers,

Christian,

Thank you for your reply. Our Jira (6.3.8) and Bamboo (5.7.2) will be upgraded. Like I said in the first post it's a stepped upgrade sense we are so far behind.

Can we use the new version of Bitbucket with the older versions of Jira and Bamboo while we are doing the upgrades, or is the a minimum version requirement?

Thanks.

Sam
