Hi,

today we have created a new Bitbucket Cloud (free) app via admin.atlassian.com via Atlassian apps -> Add app.

This means it is automatically linked to the organisation. So we dont have to use the ... "Link Bitbucket". I have confirmed this, by trying to link it, and the message was "Already linked to an atlassian organisation".

So the next step was to add users to bitbucket.

For this, I clicked on Manage app and was presented with a list of bitbucket groups:

I clicked on the bitbucket-users-testesetteset Group, with the description "Grants access to Bitbucket on <workspace-name>".

There I clicked Add users and added two users.

The users got an invitation email to bitbucket and clicked on Accept invite

they got forwared to bitbucket.org/<workspace>/ but got an error page, saying "Resource not found".

Ok, but we checked that the users can see bitbucket from the left top "switch sites or apps" menu.

And also in the admin.atlassian.com / Apps / Bitbucket overview it says: Licensed users: 3

But when I go to admin.atlassian.com / Billing, there is Bitbucket listed with only 1 User.

So what is going wrong here and how can I solve the issue so that the users can access the bitbucket workspace?

Thanks in advance.

It seems that users are receiving invite emails for the new workspace but still cannot access it. This could indicate a sync issue between the organization’s account and Bitbucket Cloud. Have the workspace permissions and user provisioning been double-checked? Sometimes users need to accept the invitation through their Atlassian account before access is granted. Clearing browser cache or trying an incognito window can also help identify if it’s a login issue. If the problem persists, contacting Atlassian support might be necessary to resolve any backend permission conflicts. Overall, verifying both the invites and workspace settings usually fixes most access problems.

Hi @Arthur

Thank your for reaching out to the community.

There seems to be an issue with the user sync a few days, however, it should be working fine now.

Could you check if it is working fine for you now?

Regards,

Hello,

I have the exact same issue, after creating a bitbucket workspace and inviting my colleagues they all end up on a personal bitbucket page that has nothing to do with the organization one.

Some of them also end up on an error page (error 404) despite having the required authorizations.

Same issue with the users billing and bitbucket overview count:
- 6 users in the overview
- 1 in the billing

Please provide assistance,
Thanks,
