My issue sounds exactly like this one. https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Bitbucket-questions/Can-t-Login-to-my-account/qaq-p/1029051
I tried to login with my email and it created an empty account. And then Bitbucket sent me an email saying I was removed from my repos.
Any idea what's going on or how to fix? I emailed support@bitbucket.org like the notification said to, but I don't know who at Atlassian to contact or if that's even the right way to fix this. Any ideas?
Thanks
Hey @Zee Jernigan
This issue occurs when you have a Bitbucket account with a primary email and an alias email added to it. Here’s what happens:
I hope this clarifies.

Syahrul,
I think I understand the alias thing in the bitbucket account, but how do I login to an account atlassian can't find?

Hey @Zee Jernigan
No worries! I'm here to help.
Do you happen to remember your previous account workspace URL or name? If you have that can you share it with me? That will help me to locate your old account.
Thanks!

Thank you immensely! I can also send you the repo links as well for verification. or whatever else you need.

Hey @Zee Jernigan
Thanks for sharing the workspace URL.
It appears that your old account is using the same domain as the one you're currently using in the community, but with a single letter difference. Do you recall having an email address that consists of only one letter? If so, please try logging in with that.
Let me know how it goes.

That's so weird. I tried that one and it kept saying I needed to setup my account and then wouldn't send the signup link. Which doesn't make sense since I already have an account. I tried logging in today and it finally after a few attempts sent me that email but still feels 100% invalid as it's asking me to verify my email and implies I don't have an account yet. It's 10000% a weird login experience and not intuitive at all if this was intended. I knew I had an account, tried to login with that account, and was told I didn't have an account at that email address.
But the whole login experience was one of the worst I've ever experienced in a while. I don't know what happened, but it kept acting like I had no account. BUT I went ahead and tried pressing the link in the email I finally got today (seeing as you said to just do that if it came through. Even though I was scared it would create another duplicate account.) and was able to see in Bitbucket that my repos are there!
So how am I supposed to login? The login form or the Google login button to avoid this from happening? Is there a better place to login that will avoid this confusion?
