Hello,
Something weird is happening with the download feature on the web, where it used to list the binaries I uploaded there. But now it loads a page within a page. It looks like a bug with the site. You can see the issue in the following screenshot
Welcome to the community.
This is because of the changes in Bitbucket Cloud for Free workspaces where downloads will no longer available from the platform as of May 29, 2025.
An email was sent in January 2025, and a blog post was shared the same month, warning of the upcoming changes to Free-tier limits which included snippets:
Please let me know if there is further clarification that we can provide.
Regards,
Mark C
The existence and current behavior of the "Download" feature is still buggy, isn't it?
Besides, when I look at the summary of my free plan, there is still "1GB" of "file storage" mentioned:
When I look at the standard plan, it just increases the file storage from 1GB to 5GB, but there is no hint that it will allow downloads again.

Thank you, I actually missed the email - I had no idea.

Wow that's a pretty crappy move from you side guys - I user to use bitbucket for my little open source projects so as to give github a little competition - but not being able to host my tiny releases is pretty irritating so I now have to move. Great move guys. Great move. why not just make a limit or something - removing a feature which has been available for years is just nasty.
Plus I might add that you just removed existing files. So old apps which were available, the links are not just broken. Well done guys. Well done.

I was in the same boat and toyed with the idea to use the standard plan but then decided to just put my smallish downloads into a "bin" or "download" folder inside the repository instead.
It's not quite the same, but yeah well.
