Server Migration and Upgrade issue

I migrated Bitbucket over to a new server, but I can only login locally with the url. Even though I updated the Base URL to the new server it fails to connect if I am off the server. I thought maybe I should try to upgrade to the latest version to fix it, however it only upgrades the local server and not my SQL database which then makes me fail to connect. Any help would be appreciated, I'm running 5.3.1.

Hi @Scott Snopkowski,

Is there a proxy in the picture here? Did you already check the settings in the $BITBUCKET_HOME/shared/bitbucket.properties file in this regard?

It also seems that the application is up on the new server but I'm not sure if the database has been cloned/moved over as well or where it currently sits.

If Bitbucket Server is not up, let's check the logs for errors.

We also have a guide here:
