I have couple of repository in my workspace that size is bigger. One of the repository among that showing more than 2GB but when I download that in local, it is not having the same size. 

I want to know that what is the exact reason fro this. There is surely not code that exceed that.  .git folder size is much larger in both the cases.

How team do remote gc and reduce the size?

Can I get exact commands to steps to do on my end to get this clear?
