My Git repo became extremely large, so I tried to clean it up.
I deleted all local and remote branches, added the asset files to .gitignore, and removed them from Bitbucket. I also rewrote the history so that only the recent commit remains.

However, the repository size on Bitbucket is still huge. I don’t understand why the size hasn’t decreased, and it’s getting really frustrating.

How can I completely clean the repo size on Bitbucket?

How long does bitbucket takes to do garbagge collection ?
