Project repositories are not present anymore.

pfortis September 3, 2020

I have 6 projects in Bitbucket. Four of them they have one repository. The other, two let's call them P1 and P2, have two repositories each. It worked without a problem for long time. Today the repositories of the P1 and P2 projects (two repositories per project) disappeared from the list of repositories and the two projects appear empty.

Now, when I attempt to add a repository in -let's say- P1, the missing repositories of the P2 project appear in the list of available repositories, while the repositories used to be in P1 do not. When I try to add repositories in P2, the missing repositories of P1 appear in the list. That makes me think that P1 & P2 still have their repositories assigned but they cannot be viewed.

Why this happened now? It worked for few years without a problem.

It turned out that the four repositories were Mercurial and thus they were turned off after Bitbucket repositories were moved to GitHub (after a lot of warnings, too). I recovered them from the Altassian backup.

I should have thought about that in the first place, but when you see them disappear from one day to another, you think that is the provider's fault.

Can you provide a screenshot?

Do the repositories appear on this page? https://bitbucket.org/dashboard/repositories

Only the repositories that belong to the projects with a single repository (four projects as I mentioned in the original post). The ones from P1 & P2 projects (two repositories each) do not.

When I select either P1 or P2 project while in the https://bitbucket.org/dashboard/repositories page, I get an empty list and a message:

"You do not have access to the recently updated repositories". Create your own repository instead."

Please note that I have admin rights to all the projects and repositories.
