Hello
I am attending a course in university where we use Bitbucket to manage our assignments and other things.
My teacher is now telling me that several e-mails have been sent to me containing an invite to the repository, but it seems like I am not receiving any of these e-mail. My teacher said that the e-mails do not have a "returned to sender" label which means that they must be getting sent successfully. I have no idea what's going on. I have searched through all of my e-mail, including junk mail, spam, and so on. I have also checked if I for some reason had blocked Atlassian or filtered message from you in some way.
My teacher claims that there is no other way for me to gain access than to gain access via invitation. Is this true?
Do you have any solutions to this issue?
Thanks,
Johannes
Hello @Johannes Envall ,
and welcome to the Community!
Your statement is correct when saying the only way to join a workspace is by an invitation emails.
As for the emails not being received, I can confirm from our internal email logs that all Atlassian emails sent to your email address were delivered successfully.
Checking internally I see your account already have access to a couple of Academic workspaces, so can you confirm if you still hasn't received the invite?
If not, I would suggest checking other folder you may have in your email as it may have been wrongly classified/forward to a different folder other than the Inbox.
The following article also provides some useful steps when troubleshooting emails not being received:

Hello
Thanks for your response.
Yes according to my teacher the e-mails seem to be getting delivered correctly.
I do have access to some workspaces, but they were all used for previous courses. This new workspace probably has the name "MIUN DT181G", judging from how the courses have been named in the past.
For other folders, I have checked all the folders I can find, including junk, spam, etc. I have both searched using keywords and manually looked through the mails.
We have confirmed that regular e-mails are being received to that e-mail. It seems like there is some issue specifically with e-mails regarding invitations to workspaces. Since I received e-mail notifications from Atlassian Community regarding this issue, I don't believe there is a problem with receiving Atlassian e-mails in general.
I am not sure what else I can do to try and solve this.
Thanks,
Johannes

Hello @Johannes Envall ,
Thanks for the clarification.
In that case, since we can confirm the emails are being sent from Atlassian side, I would recommend reaching out to your university's IT department so they can check with their email provider if there's any filtering/rule in place that is blocking bitbucket invitation emails specifically.
Thank you, @Johannes Envall !

One possible issue I thought of is that I had created an account by mistake using my personal e-mail. There was no need for this, since to access any workspace we have to use our student e-mail. Therefore that account has just been idle until I deleted it today.
Perhaps there is some issue because the e-mails are being forwarded to my personal e-mail, i.e. there is some confusion because my both my personal e-mail and my student e-mail have an account on Bitbucket, but only one is supposed to be allowed access. I feel like this is kind of a shot in the dark, though.
