trying to get back into my BitBucket account, but I am not receiving the confirmation emails at all. My email account is an iCloud account and using apples standard mail client.
No filters or any weird setting setup, just default.

This is somewhat frustrating when you need to get back into an account but the email to unlock or reset password doesn’t come through. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a Bitbucket account associated with your Community account, so you will need to create a support request directly (If I were able to see your info I would create it on your behalf).
Never fear though, the process to create a support request is rather straight forward. Head on over to Get Support, and submit an issue by selecting create. When you choose the product, please ensure you choose Bitbucket cloud and provide the email you’re not receiving messages at.
Please let us know if you don’t get a response (We will need the issue ID to track it down).
I hope you’re able to get your emails and you get logged back into Bitbucket cloud.
