Need to run GC on repo

I ran a git gc on the repository and its size has been reduced. Just a heads up, I removed the repo URL from your post to protect your privacy.

With regards to a solution: I don't have access to the repo's content, so I don't know what caused this inflation in size.

If you see this happening again, I recommend opening a ticket with the support team, and asking them to first investigate the repo content (before running any git gc), to identify what is causing the increased size. Please also mention the size your repo normally has, and that it jumped to over 2 GB in the past, which was resolved with a git gc. Since you are an admin of the workspace, if we have a support ticket, the engineer working on it will be able to access the repo and investigate.

You can create a ticket via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/, in "What can we help you with?" select "Technical issues and bugs" and then Bitbucket Cloud as product. When you are asked to provide the workspace URL, please make sure you enter the URL of the workspace that is on a paid billing plan to proceed with ticket creation.
