When logging into bitbucket on a new machine it will prompt me with the Bitbucket MFA request. I log in using a Microsoft SSO, I am not able to enable any MFA options because it is an SSO login. There are no MFA requests when logging into my Atlassian Account.

How can I log in to my account on this machine? I am able to log in without any issue on my old machine.

Used recovery email to get access to the account. Allowed me to disable MFA for the bitbucket account. No immediate solution to the issue other than the recovery option.

Hi @Carlo Quitorio

As per our documentation - there are two layers where 2FA can be configured (Atlassian Account + Bitbucket Cloud account). 24 hours is the required waiting time to recover access to an account that is being blocked by 2FA.

The 24-hour waiting period might be a long time to wait before being able to access your account. However, this waiting period is a security measure to prevent unauthorized individuals from exploiting this recovery method.

This security process has been implemented in the recovery process and cannot be overridden.

Cheers!
