The issues editor on my bitbucket has changed in the last day or so to a new layout.
Specifically in my case the "quote" formatting button has been lost.
The new editor seems more inclined towards markdown, when adding a code block the editor asks me for the language before formatting, vs. the prior version which put the code block on screen and let me select the language from a drop down list.
I can still have a quote by prefacing every line with > this is a downgrade to my experience.
I would just like to go back to the old WYSIWYG editor.
It's not clear to me if this is a bug or a "feature", but I've been unable to find reference to it as either.
Not only the new editor lost its WYSIWYG features, the few ones that remain are broken. The lists, for example, don't work. If you write a few lines, such as:
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Then highlight them to turn them into an ordered list, every line gets number "1." It doesn't increase the counter, one has to do it manually
I agree, this change makes Bitbucket issues much less friendly. At the very least, this new editor should allow shortcuts like Ctrl+B for bolding text etc. (similar to GitHub).

Wow! I hadn't even noticed that, it certainly seems that a lot of usability has been lost with this change.
Stuff like Ctrl-B, I etc. are reflexive when working with just about any editor these days.
