I'm trying to do the basic copy .pub ssh key into bitbucket to access the repo. What is going on with this? I wasn't expecting this would a byzantine labyrinth of new obstacles to a basic operation.
Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris,
Could you describe a bit more in detail what's the situation you're going through? Adding an SSH key into Bitbucket should be a pretty straight forward task, as explained here.
Can you please elaborate on what obstacles are you encountering, and maybe send us a screenshot?
Kind regards,
Ana
I went through the Settings under a repository which I thought would lead me to the SSH key update page, but when I selected SSH Keys, I got a page with the message " You need to enable Pipelines for this repository to add SSH keys." and I wasn't expecting that.
I had a link to the SSH key page where I usually do those updates, so I followed that instead and got to do what I wanted, so I'm set.
I tried to understand what "Pipelines" were, but your documentation on them, in my opinion from what I came across, is terrible. The "executive overview" should start the documentation covering such things as what problem they solve, why, how and when they're applicable, basic simple setups, and slightly more difficult setups.
The very first thing on that page I've attached should have been "Add SSH keys to all your repositories" and "Add specific PIPELINE SSH keys to this repository" so that the two use cases were distinguished, and that someone would not think that a new layer had just been added to the SSH key mechanism globally when running into that page.
Thanks,
Chris
