I need to clone a private repository in Visual Studio

I need to clone a private repository in Visual Studio using the Bitbucket plugin. I have admin rights to the repository but am not the owner. As a result I receive a http 405 error code when attempting to clone.  Must I be the owner of a private repository to clone using the Bitbucket extension?

Are you referring to this plugin (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=MistyK.VisualStudioBitbucketExtension). If so, what is the version of your plugin?

Are you able to clone this repository somewhere else? Or any other repository?
