Hi

I run a small team. We are attempting to self host Jira+Confluence+Bitbucket on 4GB of RAM. We do not have swap space setup on our host because they use SSD.

Jira and Confluence run fine. But Bitbucket runs out of memory. I cannot seem to figure out how to reduce memory usage for Bitbucket.

Hi @abhijit

 "Jira+Confluence+Bitbucket on 4GB of RAM"

This is not enough! From my experiences you need more RAM.
Jira and Confluence need at least 1 GB each (that's the standard heap size).

Bitbuckets needs differ from your usage. How many people do you mean when saying small team? Git can be very memory hungry. And keep in Mind your OS needs memory too.

Please give Scaling Bitbucket Server a read, to learn about how to scale Bitbucket.

Hi Abhijit,

Niklas is spot on - this is bound to fail, so you need to increase your physical memory significantly.
