Hi, I'm new to BitBucket and I was able tocreate my branch off origin. When I tried to push my local changes to my remote branch, it prompt me for the origin's credential. I don't have the password for this as this is created by another user. Is there a way to set my remote branch to use my own credential?

Hi Wayne, welcome to the Community!

Can you double check if you were pushing to your remote branch and not to the original branch (the one that is not yours)? If you're using yours, you shouldn't need to enter any other credentials.

Let us know!

I created a branch at another user's repo (which also contains the master branch). Now would I be able to push to my branch or this is not how it should be set up? Originally I cloned the master branch and was pushing it to my own repo but was curious if the other way works or not (or if it is good practice).
