How do I remove a branch from the branches sidebar of SourceTree but keep the branch?

On the left panel of SourceTree it lists the branches I have for the repository. I have a lot of older branches I don't need to see anymore. How do I remove a branch from that list but maintain the branch in the repository as I might use it sometime in the future.
