How do I delete a folder from ALL commits?

Image uploads were accidentally added to a repo which is approaching the 2GB limit. The folder no longer shows up in the master branch (which is good). The repo size didn't change so I think the uploads are still in different commits. Is there an easy way to remove the uploads folder from everything to reduce the repo size?

Even though you removed the folder from master, you will need to complete some additional steps to reduce the size of your repository.
