How do I control who sends email about commits

we receive commit notifications from a user whois not (anymore) in the working group.

Where do we manage this customization on the web site?

Welcome to the Bitbucket Cloud community!

May I know how the commit is being made?

If this is an automated process, and the App Password matches the one stored on the user's account - the commit will be recorded using this user account.

• If this is not an automated process - I'd suggest having your users check their git config and ensure they've got the correct email address recorded, if their local git config has the email address matching the user who is no longer in the group - the commit will also be recorded using that users account:
  git config --list
