Hello. I am having an issue.
I transferred a repository from my Team account to my personal account. In the Team account, the repository was in a 'Project', because that is a requirement on Team accounts. When I transferred the repository to my personal account as the new owner, I notice that when I click on the repository, the top of the page still says that the repository is inside of that old Project name (from the team account). If I click the project name, I receive an error that it cannot find the URL (which makes sense, since it appears that personal accounts cannot have Projects, and so the Project cannot exist). That said, why does it show the repository as being part of the Project in the repository's home screen? How do I remove that Project identifier from the transferred repository?
Hi Chantal!
Being in a project is not a requirement for a Team account, is just an additional possibility.
Can you explain how you transferred the repo to your personal account? Can you also send a screenshot of the top of the page where you can see it still names the old project? Alternatively, you can let us know the name of the repo and we'll have a look.
Cheers :)
Ana
Hi Ana,
Thanks for your response. I am going to add a number of screenshots to this message. The first set shows what I mean about having to create a repository within a Project when creating a repository for a Team. Please see the asterisk in the screenshot indicating that the project name is required, and that the Project dropdown does not have an option for "No Project." Please let me know if there is a way to create one without a Project; That would be awesome. (I will send a response re the second issue in another message with it's own screenshots momentarily.)

Okay, regarding the second issue. When I transferred all of the repositories from the Team to my personal account, I did the following:
(1) Log into Bitbucket with my personal account (and with admin authority to the Team).
(2) Clicked on the name of the repository that I wanted to move. This repository had the owner set as the Team, and was in a project.
(3) Clicked 'Settings' on the menu which opened up on the left side of the page for the Repository.
(4) Clicked "Transfer this repository to another account" under the "Transfer or delete repository" section of the "Repository details" menu which is the default opening window for settings.
(5) Input my personal account name, Chantal Davis, and clicked transfer.
The repository then appeared in my personal account of repositories.
Since a personal account cannot have projects, I know that none of these transferred repositories should be in a 'Project'. That said, when I click on any of these transferred repositories, a link with the old Project name (from before it was transferred) still shows up at the top of the page. See screenshots. Clicking this link takes me to a 404 error page because, obviously, it cannot find the requested Project. I hope this makes more sense with the screenshots below.

Hi Chantal, you were right, repositories have to be in projects. I was testing a similar feature in the morning and got confused, my apologies.
Regarding the issue when you transfer the repo from a project, I've been able to reproduce it and got the same result as you. The project name should not appear there and we've submitted a bug report, you can find it at Issue #18019.
The bug is not critical, in the sense that it doesn't really affect any of the functionality within Bitbucket, so in the meantime please just ignore the project name until our team gets it fixed :)
Let us know if you need anything else!

Thank you for your reply.
I just want to be sure that the Project on the team is really entirely disconnected from the transferred Repository. Specifically, I want to ensure that there is not a domino effect wherein when I delete the old (now empty) team Projects that the now-transferred Repositories are not also magically deleted with it.
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks.
