Hi Srivatsa, welcome to the Community!

I can see 2 things in your screenshots:

1. You're getting an error that says "invalid credentials", can you doublecheck that you're logged into the right account and are using the right username and password?

2. Seems like the repository you're trying to clone is a repository that already exists in Bitbucket Cloud and to which you have access to. What's is your ultimate goal? If you want to have a separate copy of the repository so you can continue working on it, you can use the 'fork' option. Alternatively, you can also use the 'clone' option.

Let us know if the options above help, or if you keep getting any errors. Also, once you tell us what you're trying to achieve we'll be able to guide you better.

Best regards,

Ana

Hello @Srivatsa,

In addition to what @Ana Retamal described, here's why you got an error for the import:

Repository import is not specific to Bitbucket, it can import from many other sources too. This is why it doesn't use your current Bitbucket session but rather requires you to enter your username and password to access the repository being imported, even if it is also hosted on Bitbucket.

As Ana mentioned above, there're easier ways to copy a repo within Bitbucket, but if you prefer to go through the import flow, instead of including the username in the URL select "Requires authorization" checkbox right under the repository URL and enter your credentials there.

This should do the trick. Let me know if you have questions.

Cheers,
Daniil

Hey @Srivatsa,

and for 2.Yes it exists in my cloud but it unable to clone it or fork it in my project as you can see that in 1st screenshot.

What you posted on first screenshot is repository import. Forking repository is different. Navigate to the repository you want to fork, then check the sidebar menu:

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Daniil
