Empty Bitbucket Cloud workspace deleted

zsprints November 23, 2025

Atlassian Team,

Our workspace was removed because it had no repository ( as per email communication from Atlassian ).

The workspace served solely as a location to register OAuth 2.0 applications used for Bitbucket integration. No projects or repositories were created within it.

As a result of this, we are no longer able to access the existing OAuth 2.0 applications or create new ones.

Please note that although the workspace is no longer accessible, the OAuth 2.0 applications created within the deleted workspace are still functioning. Ideally, they should be removed as well.

Is there any way to recover those applications? If no, how to remove them?

Hi @zsprints and welcome to the community,

Per Atlassian's documentation:

Your app’s data is retained for 15 days (for free subscriptions) or 60 days (for paid subscriptions) after cancellation. If you reactive your subscription within this data retention period, your app's data and preferences will be restored.

At the end of the data retention period, your app’s data will be permanently deleted and can’t be recovered. Read our Data Storage FAQs for more information.

https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/reactivate-a-subscription/

So I would presume that everything will be deleted within 15 days, since your instance was free. Have these 15 days already passed?

@Alex Koxaras -Relational- There is no issue with subscription.

It is related to an email from Atlassian wherein they removed empty workspaces. Please refer here.
