Difference between Git Secrets and GitLeaks

Hi,

I'm evaluating a pipeline with several security steps. I'm looking at hard-coded secret scanning tools; Atlassian provides a secret scanner, but its functionality seems similar to GitLeaks. I'd like to know if the provided secret scanner is a separate tool or if it's actually based on the official GitLeaks?
