I've been trying to figure out how to reset my Atlassian password. I assume the credentials to bitbucket and Atlassian credentials mean the same thing.
I have the staples - a bit bucket account, the password to which is a mystery, and a contact e-mail address to where I work.
The relevant information that I have is something that goes on the lines of account managed by organisation, but when challenged for Authentication, the SSO credentials don't work.
And till date, I have not figured out in a long shot how to reset the password to Bitbucket / Atlassian login.
Hi @p.chaoji and welcome to the community!
If your company uses SSO and you get redirected to your company's identity provider when you try to log in to https://bitbucket.org/ from browser, then the Atlassian account doesn't have a password and it is not possible to set or reset it. In this case, login to https://bitbucket.org/ from browser is only possible with the credentials of your identity provider account. If these don't work, you will need to reach out to the person in your company that manages your identity provider.
If you are not talking about login from browser but credentials for Git operations (clone, pull, push) with Basic authentication over HTTPS or API calls with basic auth, you will need to use:
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
