The bitbucket GUI allows to import from an existing git repository to a new repository.
In my case I just wanted to import code from an existing "boilerplate" project - I only needed the latest files in the master branch, without the git history or the other branches.
Obviously I can do this easily by downloading the boilerplate code, copying to a new empty bitbucket repository and commit. It could be nicer if the GUI would have done this automatically, even with a list of boilerplate projects to choose from.
How many of us actually begin with an "empty project" these days?
Thanks
You can fork the boilerplate repository.
You mean to fork only the latest commit and a single branch?
Same complexity as downloading and uploading...
