Choose specific development branch in "branching model"

I would like to choose a specific development branch in the new "Branching model" settings. However, if the branch I would like to choose is not showing up in the dropdown menu to the right.

Details: I have created a "development" branch in order to choose this as development branch where I want to merge my feature branches into. So under "Branching model" in the settings I choose "Use specific branch" under "Development branch" but then my branch "development" does not show up on the right (the other branches do).

Sometimes Bitbucket needs a little bit of time to process newly created branches. Make chances in your code, commit & push it to the referred branch (in your case development) and try it a few minutes later. Than the branch hopefully shows up :-)
