We receive notifications in Slack when certain actions are carried out on some of our Repos. In Slack the account that posts the notifications belongs to someone that is no longer with the company.
We want to change it so that the notifications come from a different account. Could this be achieved by un-linking our Bitbucket cloud account from our Slack account, and then re-linking it from the new account we want to use?
Hi @Iain Duthie ,
The question is, how have you integrated Bitbucket and Slack? I'm assuming it's by native integration, and if so, you can follow the instructions listed here: Integrate Bitbucket Cloud with Slack
At the bottom of the article, there are commands you can use within Slack to log out and log back in with another account.
Cheers,
Tobi
When i try to use the logout, login or whoami commands I get a message saying, "To continue, try linking your Bitbucket Cloud and Slack accounts again"
When I try to do that I get an error stating "WRONG_ID. You've logged in to wrong Slack account"
Cheers
Iain

@Iain Duthie hmm... As you are a product/app admin, I would maybe suggest raising a ticket here Atlassian Support. The official team can take a look at the backend and see to which Slack account the connection is being made, meaning, how the integration was established in the first place.
They could probably also do a manual disconnection as well, but they might also provide instructions on how you can do it yourself.

@Tomislav Tobijas thanks I will raise a ticket and see what they advise
