Can't create a trigger for GitHub

Marc Fielding November 12, 2017

Heya,

So I'm trying to create a workflow that moves a ticket from To-do to in progress when someone creates a new a branch, I've connected JIRA using the JIRA git plugin but when I go to triggers the 'Add Trigger' button is greyed out?

The docs seem to imply you can use triggers with GitHub?

Cheers

Marc

Marc,

May be a silly question, but have you already configured Github to interact with JIRA?

I'm not sure the plugin handles this part of the configuration.

Hey Billy,

So it turns out the documentation is a bit misleading - I installed the Jira GitHub plugin from big brass band thinking that's all I needed, you need to connect via DVCS connector on jira cloud.

Thank you very much for you help, I'm very sorry I didn't update the sooner but I've been very busy!

Cheers

Marc

Hi Marc,

Which version of JIRA are you using? Are you in cloud or on premise ?  I'm checking this page while I chat with you :)

Hey Billy,

Yeah I found that guide, I click the transition and then select triggers but can't add any - it's cloud jira.

Thanks

Marc
