Hi, I'm trying to upload certain videos and pdf files to Bitbucket directly instead of pushing them through git bash. It is very easy in GitHub as you can just upload files and drag and drop. How does that work in Bitbucket? (I do not want to use SourceTree either)
Hi @Kamil Stepien,
Bitbucket doesn't support uploading files directly to repo. However, there is a downloads folder right on the Bitbucket UI where one can upload files.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Lava
Hi @Lava Kumar Dukanam _Appfire_, Thank you for the response. I noticed there is a download folder but is there a way to link the file to the right folder in the repository? Let's say you download the project and within the project, files point to a specific directory where the video should be located, do I need to download the file manually and place it in the right directory or is there a way to automate this process?

As far as i can tell, there is no way to link back the files from downloads folder to the folder in the repo. You will have to either push the files using git or use SourceTree to upload them.
Thanks!

Hi @Lava Kumar Dukanam _Appfire_, Do you know if there is a plan to build this type of functionality in the future? Thank you for answering my questions.

Hi @Kamil Stepien,
This is a public issue tracker for bitbucket.
Probably you can search and add your suggestion there.
Thanks,
Lava

Still no update on the issue, unfortunately. Is anyone aware of a similar ticket that has more upvotes?
