When creating a mention for a user (i.e. in Pull Requests), immediately after typing the @ symbol I get a nice menu to find the user I wish to mention, including their full name and e-mail address. As soon as I select the user from the proposal list, it is replaced by '@username' which in our organization is a random jumble of characters that is meaningless to most users. After clicking on the "Comment" button, the '@username' persists without being replaced by the full name. In addition, the mention with the '@username' is not hyperlinked to their profile.
The only on-line documentation or screenshots I could find seem to indicate that the full name of the user is displayed after posting the comment.

Firstly, is the expected behavior for a nice hyperlinked fullname supposed to be displayed? Secondly, any ideas on troubleshooting?
