We use the Squash merge strategy to keep our history clean. Recently we also started using the Automatic branch merging feature and noticed the two features somewhat conflict with each other. Automatic merges always seem to create merge commits instead of squash merges. How can we setup automatic merges so that they create squash merges instead?
If it matters, this is Bitbucket Server v5.16.2 and we have set it up so "Squash" is the only merge strategy enabled (i.e. no dropdown list in the merge popup.)
