I am trying to find out how to setup authentication from Windows 10 to Bitbucket. Sourcetree can't handle it. And it looks like it is impossible to setup for just git too.
This page recommends how to do, but it looks really unsafe for Windows 10:
Permanently authenticating with Git repositories - Atlassian Documentation https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/permanently-authenticating-with-git-repositories-776639846.html
There is a link to git-credential-winstore. When I follow that link I get a warning from Google that looks really serious:
Hi Lennart! I've tried reproducing your issue but I didn't get any warning, instead just a message that the above product is now discontinued and I've now been redirected too Git Credential Manager for Windows.
Regarding the message you got, looks like it's just a warning message Google sends you to make you aware that the site you're about to visit might contain harmful software, but if you've been sent there from a trusting source, there shouldn't be a problem. For more info you can check support.google.com.
Hope that helps!
