App password replacement for API Tokens

Bitbucket is replacing app passwords with API tokens. However, API tokens will only be available for premium accounts. What will happen to those of us on lower-tier plans?

API tokens are available to all accounts.

Billings plans in Bitbucket Cloud are tied to a workspace. You can generate an API token regardless of the billing plan of the workspaces your account has access to.

It is the workspace and project access tokens that are available only to premium workspaces, not the API tokens.
