I attempted to push code to our bitbucket account this morning but received the message:

"remote: [ALERT] Your push failed because the account 'name' has exceeded its user limit and this repository is restricted to read-only access."

I was surprised to see this as no changes had been made to the account in some weeks (and indeed it was fine yesterday afternoon - approximately 17 hours ago).

I've logged into the account and can see only 1 users on the plan (settings -> users on plan). We're using the free plan which looks to allow 5 users so I guess there must be some users elsewhere which I can't see?

I checked also the repository permissions and only 3 users have access to it including me

Can anyone tell me where else I should be looking or if this might not be user / plan related?

Thanks

Hello @Ahmed Yasser and welcome to the Community!

As announced in our Blog post , Bitbucket cloud has changed our billing model. In this new model, any user that is a member of a workspace, regardless of their content access , is counted towards the billable users.

If you need to reduce the number of users within your workspace, please go to :

Workspace Settings > User Directory > use action under Activity row to remove any users that no longer need to be part of a workspace.

For workspaces on Free plan, your number of workspace members should not exceed 5.

Alternatively, you may upgrade your plan to a paid plan to be able to collaborate with a larger number of teammates. For more information please refer to
