Hi, guys

I do not understand the cloud pricing. I need a home for a small team like 4 users. In the same time I also need a huge repo with about 200GB of space.

I'll go with Standard or Premium subscription. But I need more space.

Pricing page says "File storage per account $10/month for 100 GB"

Does that mean I have to pay (4x$10 for 100GB )x2=$80/mo for 200GB due to I have 4 users?

Hi Igordata, welcome to the Community!

Let me clarify the pricing for you. For my explanation below I'll assume that you'll be hosting the files in your account and then granting access to the rest of the users, or alternatively hosting the files in a Team account and then adding all the users to that team.

In Bitbucket Cloud you can pay for 3 different things: users, storage, and minutes for Pipelines (I'll exclude this one from the explanation for now), they're independent one from the other.

  • If you'd like to have 4 users that qualifies under our Free account, so you don't need to pay for any of them (Bitbucket Cloud is free up to 5 users).
  • If you'd like to have more storage, you can get 100GB for $10/month. This storage should be applied to the account where the files are going to be hosted and you pay the same amount regardless of the number of users that have access to those files.

One important note I'd like to add: Bitbucket Cloud has a hard limit of 2GB per repository, it's not possible to increase this size. The storage we've been mentioning above refers to LFS (Large Files Storage), you can read more about it at Git Large File Storage in Bitbucket Cloud.

I hope this clears your confusion! Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to help you :)

Have a good day,

Ana
