Did you mean:

Git tag name in variable

First - thank to Atlassian team for the feature build can be triggered by git tag. Works well for us.

Now I need to use the tag which triggered the build in shell script. Some variable probably exists:

Can I get the tag name "TESTTAG_v_9_9_9" in shell script? What is the variable name?

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately the tag name is not available as a variable. We've fixed this and it will be released in bamboo 7.2.2.

This version will be released on 2021-01-25.

After upgrade you can use bamboo.TagBuildTriggerReason.tagName variable.

Just upgrading Bamboo to 7.2.2. It should fix the problem - I'll write a new comment if testing will success. Thanks a lot!

I've to upload compiled artifacts to version subdirectory. For example - if tag is v_6_3_0, I'll upload compiled software somewhere/releases/v_6_3_0/

It's old but it would still be great to find this in the docs.
