atlassian_searchJiraIssuesUsingJql: server-side validation issue

Hey

I'm having an issue with Atlassian MCP.
When trying to use JQL to get Jira tickets I get:

atlassian_searchJiraIssuesUsingJql [...] (...) The JQL search tool has a server-side validation issue.

I'm using https://mcp.atlassian.com/v1/mcp.

This is a known issue with the Atlassian Remote MCP server. The error isn't caused by your JQL syntax—it's a server-side validation problem in the atlassian_searchJiraIssuesUsingJql tool. There's nothing to fix on the client side for now. As a workaround, you can try other Jira search tools if available, or wait for Atlassian to roll out a fix. If you haven't already, include your MCP server version, authentication method, and a sample JQL query to help the Atlassian team investigate.

MCP server version is v1, authentication OAuth.

Example JQL: 

project = ABC AND created >= "2026-01-01" ORDER BY created DESC, maxResults=5
