Hello Community,
I hope you’re all doing well!
As an Org Admin for my company’s Jira sites, I have recently started receiving requests to approve the integration of Cursor with the Atlassian Rovo MCP Server. However, a challenge has emerged: only our developers hold Cursor licenses, whereas my fellow Org Admins and I do not (nor are we able to request these licenses).
Granting Site Admin permissions to the developers is also not a feasible solution.
We attempted an alternative approach by configuring Cursor's callback URL as a domain in the MCP settings, but unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue.
After raising a support ticket with Atlassian, we were informed that, as this is still a beta feature, it falls outside of their support scope. They recommended that we reach out to the community for assistance.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue and successfully authorized this setup without requiring Cursor licenses for Org Admins?
Any advice, solutions, or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Mariah
