My issue in short: My ChatGPT integration using the Atlassian Rovo MCP connector can read Confluence and Jira, but create/update calls are unavailable when connector is published in the Workspace.
1. I setup Atlassian Rovo MCP as a custom connector in ChatGPT following the guidelines. (since the official OpenAI Atlassian Rovo connector is still unavailable to us in the UK)
2. I test the connector in Developer mode (as an Admin). Read & Write actions work as expected and I am able to create Confluence pages and post comments to Jira issues with my user via OAuth.
3. I publish the connector in my ChatGPT Business workspace. Read actions work. Write actions no longer work in either platform for my user or other users. We get errors like:
"I checked your Confluence workspace but I do not have a createConfluencePage write operation available in the connected tools, so I cannot create the page directly from here."
In the meantime, all write actions are displayed as available in the connector:
Since Developer mode for the connector allows writes, this tells me the Atlassian site and my admin credentials can perform writes.
Looking for someone who has configured Atlassian Rovo MCP as a custom connector with ChatGPT and is able to use Confluence/Jira create and update methods.
Is it even possible or the integration is bugged?
Thanks.
