The Atlassian MCP Connector exposes tools for Confluence Pages and Jira Issues but does not support Whiteboards — even though Rovo Chat can create them internally, confirming the API capability exists.
Use case:
As a PM using Claude Desktop with the Atlassian MCP Connector, I want to create Whiteboards via AI agents for brainstorming, retros, and workshop prep — without switching to Rovo Chat or doing it manually.
Requested tools:
createConfluenceWhiteboard — Create a Whiteboard in a space
addWhiteboardContent — Add sticky notes, shapes, text, connectors
getConfluenceWhiteboard — Read Whiteboard content
Why it matters:
Whiteboards are a core Confluence content type. Excluding them from the MCP Connector creates an unnecessary gap between Rovo's internal capabilities and what external AI agents can do.
