Does MCP mask/sanitise sensitive/PII information?

As far as I'm aware Atlassian MCP filters data based on access controls and structures it for model input. However, there is no clear indication that it performs automatic masking or redaction of sensitive or PII content.

Is above understanding correct of MCP do mask sensitive or PII content?
